Our First Honouree Zlatan Soldo Dec 8th 2023.
Zlatan Soldo of Geodetska Skola in Zagreb Croatia has been a pioneer not only in Video Conferencing Technology but in the promotion of On line learning in his home of Croatia and abroad. He was honoured December 8th 2023 in a ceremony in front of 25 different nations and was congratulated by Time Founder Wim Didderen, Time Project Manager Alexandra Smeets and a number of long standing and founding teachers within Time.
Zlatan was asked to say a few words shortly after the 30 minute presentation and the surprize of his award. His reply, “You ask too much haaaa” Clearly he was overwhelmed with the heartfelt recognition given to him. But when he composed himself he was his typical insightful and modest self. Zlatan said …..
” I am speechless now!” As he reflected on the achievements he continued, ” I can’t do anything by myself. I always have my colleagues around me and most importantly my students around me. They help to do everything that I have in my head. Remember we started many things for the first time. First time multipoint conference, today is not something special but then it was. We made a big effort to make free for schools the ability to communicate at the same time in a multi-point way. You showed some facts that I am not familiar with. I didn’t realize some of this happened. I didn’t realize my own impact. It is amazing, I asked people here – who did this? Did I communicate with all of those places? It is better to say nothing …… but THANK YOU. I am so happy to see old colleagues from Time.”
